In Afghanistan, Valid has been involved in the following:
- Review of national CMAM guidelines
- Set up, implementation and evaluation of CTC (CMAM) programmes
- SQUEAC coverage surveys
- Review of the status of nutritional rehabilitation activities and supporting the roll-out of Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) in-country
- Carrying out nutritional anthropometric surveys, food security surveys, agriculture productivity assessments (modified VAM method) and community assessment
Partners in Afghanistan have included Cordaid, Concern Worldwide, Oxfam-Novib, UNICEF and UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA).
