Valid is currently engaged in operational research in HIV and Nutrition in Malawi, Zambia, Kenya and Ethiopia and seeks new collaborators and operational partners to expand this important work. We can provide support and experience to programmes aiming to develop nutrition related HIV programmes or to add a nutrition component to existing programmes. We can support the set up, monitoring and evaluation of Community-based Therapeutic Care (CTC) programmes for HIV affected individuals and communities. In addition, Valid can work to identify appropriate nutritional support strategies for symptomatic HIV infected individuals and implement the use of Ready-to-Use Food (RUF) in the treatment of severe acute malnutrition.
